Every time the tsunami wave of a new scandal hits the shore of social media, the outpouring of scorn and condemnation rushes upstream like a wall of debris.
The debate becomes so muddy and heavy with foreign objects that when the inrush subsides all this slduge and rubbish remains behind, polluting the ground where we stand.
Little by little, we get used to trampling over broken glass shards, fallen walls, snapped wires and wading in stinking sewer slurry.
